In November, it was revealed that the character – portrayed by Dan Ewing – will make a return to screens this year, having featured as a regular on the Australian soap from 2011 to 2014 and on a guest basis from 2016 to 2017.

In scenes to air this week in Australia and in around a month's time on Channel 5 for UK viewers, the character will make his official comeback.

TV Week reports that River Boy Heath will show up again in the Bay to help the Parata brothers deal with a sticky situation.

It comes as Ari (Rob Kipa-Williams) and Tane (Ethan Browne) are blackmailed into committing armed robbery by Paul (Jack Finsterer) and Leon (Will McNeill), who have an incriminating photo of Tane.

When Ari's girlfriend Mackenzie (Emily Weir) finds out, she asks Dean (Patrick O'Connor) for help, and Dean soon discovers that the planned robbery is on River Boys turf – leading him to rope in Heath and the other River Boys for assistance.

Speaking previously about his return, Dan said: "Heath is there. I won't say he's there for a long time, but he's certainly there for a good time.

"It's such a great opportunity and what a great show. What they do there, it really goes from the top. Lucy Addario the executive producer, Louise Bowes [series script executive], and everything they do there, they go family first, people first."

He added: "It was really weird having the new cast telling me about storylines and things that Heath's done off-camera!"
